If you would love to sing in a relaxed and supportive choir then Rallentandos is for you.
We will learn simple and enjoyable choral arrangements. The repertoire will be chosen from well known songs. No previous choral experience is necessary and there is no need to read music. The choir is a friendly, accepting place for people to warm up their voices, improve or maintain vocal tone, enjoy the thrill of singing in a group, make friends, and have fun. We will aim to perform at local community events and to create a choir bursting with enthusiasm.
Rallentando… the musical term literally means ‘slowing down’. Here at Rallentandos we will be slowing down the learning process so that everyone can feel confident before before speeding up again, so that singing together can be an enjoyable and manageable experience for everyone. We will learn music by ear but work on creating a strong sound.
Our repertoire will be varied, including classical pieces as well as jazz classics, chants, gospel, spirituals, folk and pop classics from yesteryear.
